- He's is discontinuing additional performances.

After cancelling shows in Mönchengladbach and Coburg due to a persistent viral infection, Marius Müller-Westernhagen (75) has had to cancel additional performances. The concerts in Dresden on the 24th of August and Halle an der Saale on the 27th have also been cancelled. This was announced on his official Instagram by his team.

Müller-Westernhagen is still battling the infection, and on the advice of his doctors, he must take time off from performing.

There will be no rescheduled dates for Dresden and Halle. Fans who have purchased tickets can return them at the point of purchase. The artist, management, and organizers express their regrets and hope for the understanding of the fans. Although many fans on Instagram have shown understanding due to illness, they are not so understanding about the lack of rescheduled dates.

The tour is to continue on 30th August

According to officials, no other concerts on the "75 Live" tour are impacted. The anniversary tour celebrating the 75th birthday of the German rock icon is set to continue on 30th August 2024. Müller-Westernhagen is scheduled to perform at the Loreley Open Air Stage on the Rhine. Four more shows are on the program, with the final one scheduled for 7th September in Rostock.

The cancellations of the performances in Dresden and Halle are not unexpected, given that Westernhagen's doctors had previously cancelled the Coburg concert, which was scheduled for today. Attempting to perform in Dresden the day after proved to be optimistic.

"75 Live" is off to a rocky start. Even during the first leg of the tour in May this year, a performance had to be cancelled - and that was more last-minute than this time. At the venue in Stuttgart, Marius Müller-Westernhagen was already backstage at the Schleyerhalle. However, the singer then had to be treated by a doctor.

Despite the concert release dates for Dresden and Halle being cancelled due to Marius Müller-Westernhagen's health, the '75 Live' tour is expected to continue on August 30.

Regrettably, no rescheduled dates for the cancelled concerts have been announced, leading to mixed reactions from fans on social media.
