The man behind Germany's successful run in the recent basketball World Cup, Gordon Herbert, is saying goodbye to the German Basketball Federation. The DBB has confirmed this news, revealing that Herbert, who led the team captained by Dennis Schröder to victory, won't be staying till 2025 as per his original contract.
Herbert was named Henrik Rödl's replacement in September 2021. Under his guidance, the DBB team managed to secure a bronze medal at the 2022 European Championships held at home. Who'll be taking over his position is still uncertain.
