Prince Henry Revamps His Title - He'll be absent at the most sought-after wedding of the season.

Scheduled for June 7th in Britain, a lavish royal wedding is in the works. Hugh Grosvenor (33), the Duke of Westminster, is tying the knot with his beloved Olivia Henson (30). Notably, the Duke of Westminster is the godchild of King Charles III (75) and is a close friend of Princes William (41) and Harry (39). He's even bestowed with the honor of being the godfather to their offspring, Prince George (10) and Archie (5). It was rumored that Prince Harry, a former friend, would receive an invite to the event but turned it down post discussions with the Duke. Both men agreed that Harry's presence could be a bit contentious.

Apparently, Prince Harry was to receive a wedding invite, but he declined after consulting with the Duke. A friendly and mutual decision was made, considering the potential for tension between the two friends.

Reasons for Harry's Absence

There are two main factors preventing Harry from welcoming the Duke and his bride: potential safety concerns and the lingering rift between him and his brother Prince William. With Harry in attendance, the event could potentially revolve around the brothers' estrangement rather than the happy occasion.

The prospect of their shared role as ushers or place attendants for their long-time friend would be problematic. It would have been rather uncomfortable for Prince William to escort his estranged sibling to take his designated place.

King Charles and Princess Kate's Absences

To add to the guest list conundrum, King Charles III is said to be excluded from the celebration. However, the event has the potential to attract distinguished attendees, with around 400 in attendance. Princess Kate, who is battling cancer, is also not expected to partake in the wedding festivities. The press has referred to this nuptial as the "royalste not royal wedding."
