Heidi Klum (51) has been sharing numerous glimpses of her paradisiacal vacation with husband Tom Kaulitz (34) on Instagram over the past few days. Some clips show her nearly naked on the beach or in revealing bikinis, while a series of photos captures the couple sun-kissed and smiling at the camera. But Klum isn't just taking a break; she's also working during her vacation.
Casting Call
In an Instagram clip, seemingly fresh out of the shower, she announces: "I'm so excited. I finally got an email from ProSieben with the first casting videos from you guys. I'm going to watch them now." Later, dressed and at her laptop, she starts and stops a clip of a "GNTM" applicant and launches an appeal to the camera: "Send me your video. I'm on vacation, but I'm still watching everything. Everyone can join again, but you must be 18 years old," explains the 51-year-old. "Maybe I'll see you in my 20th anniversary season, I'm looking forward to it." With the invitation, Klum once again emphasizes that both women and men can apply.
Heidi Klum has been searching for "Germany's next Topmodel" since 2006. Lena Gercke (36) was crowned the first winner, and a new season has followed every year since. Especially since season 16 in 2021, the casting show has been focusing on more diversity. "By now, viewers hopefully know that 'GNTM' doesn't have to be blonde and blue-eyed. Diversity is very important to me," Heidi Klum explained before the start of the season. In season 17, models with heights ranging from 1.54 to 1.95 meters, dress sizes from 30 to 54, and an age range of 18 to 68 were part of the show under the motto "Diversity". Plus-size models were also included in season 18, and in the latest 19th season, the gender rule was abolished, allowing men to participate for the first time.
Jermaine is the first male winner of the show and the first male model on the cover of the fashion magazine "Harper's Bazaar". He won the cover along with winner Lea and a prize of 100,000 euros.
