- He resided in the house belonging to Diana's parents.
Last week, as per reports, Prince Harry (39) made his way back to his birthplace, the UK, to attend the funeral of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes. The Prince apparently chose an exceptionally sentimental abode for his stay; according to "People", Harry opted to reside at Althorp House with his uncle Charles Spencer (60). This historic estate, belonging to the Spencer family since 1508, is nestled in Northamptonshire, England's Northampton county, and spans about 5,300 hectares. Charles Spencer has been the estate's owner and permanent resident since the passing of his father in 1992.
Prince Harry might have also utilized his time at Althorp House to honor his mother's memory. The Fellowes family held their funeral just two days prior to the 27th anniversary of Diana's demise on August 31st. Diana was laid to rest on a tiny islet in the heart of Althorp Park's lake. However, the duration of Harry's stay in the UK remains unknown.
Harry and William at the Funeral
During the funeral of Lord Fellowes' spouse, Lady Jane Spencer's (67) husband, in Snettisham, Norfolk, there was an encounter between Prince Harry and his elder brother, Prince William (42). This was reported by outlets such as the "BBC".
As per the "Sun", both brothers maintained a certain distance at the service, behaving in a highly discreet manner. A local resident shared with the tabloid: "William and Harry were both present, but we never witnessed them engaging in conversation, and they kept their distance."
Harry and the Spencer Family Bond
Several attendees were taken aback by Prince Harry's decision to return to the UK from his domestic base in the US for the funeral, as pointed out by a source from "People". "You could see the joy in his face at the reunion. He was truly elated to have made the trip."
Generally speaking, Prince Harry maintains a close connection with Diana's family; his uncle Charles and aunt Jane showed their support for him during the Invictus Games service held at St. Paul's Cathedral in London in May, with no members of the royal family present.
