Concert by Justin Timberlake - He interrupts the show for this star guest
Due to an alleged DUI (Driving Under the Influence) incident, Justin Timberlake (43) will appear before a US court on July 26th of this month. The good mood of the superstar and his famous wife Jessica Biel (42) seems unfazed by this unpleasant schedule, quite the opposite. This was evident at Timberlake's concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where he performed as part of his "Forget Tomorrow" world tour.
A particularly good mood was created during the concert when a Hollywood megastar surprisingly appeared in the audience and was spotted by Timberlake. Clips recorded during the show on June 25th, which have since been posted on social media, show Timberlake celebrating the presence of filmmaking legend Martin Scorsese (81).
"I hope it doesn't embarrass him too much, but people, I have to do this," Timberlake interrupts his performance. "The greatest of his craft is here today to see me. The unparalleled Martin Scorsese." A wave of applause then erupts in Madison Square Garden, and a spectator managed to capture Scorsese's reaction on video. Smiling, he raised his hand for the cheering crowd, but he seemed a little uneasy in the face of sudden attention.
Jessica Biel, Timberlake's wife, was also present at the New York concert. Unlike Scorsese, she did not shy away from the attention but sang and danced enthusiastically with the hits of her beloved one, as shown in clips from the concert audience.
What will happen with the tour next?
It is currently unclear how Timberlake's tour will continue in about a month. The reason: On the day of his court hearing on July 26th and the following day, there are actually two concerts scheduled for him in Krakow, Poland. According to a CNN report, it is possible that Timberlake will attend the court hearing via video conference to avoid canceling any of his concerts.
Timberlake was arrested on Long Island on June 18, 2024, around midnight for DUI, as confirmed by the Sag Harbor Police Department. A police officer on patrol observed Timberlake ignoring a stop sign. When he stopped the celebrity, his glassy and bloodshot eyes also caught the officer's attention. However, Timberlake claims that he had only consumed one drink that evening. The bartender of the New York hotel where the US singer had stayed before the incident has now confirmed Timberlake's statement to "People" magazine. Another hotel employee also told the magazine, "If he had drunk more, it wasn't here."
