Harry and Meghan excluded from the ceremony.
Harry and Meghan likely won't show up at King Charles' second "Trooping the Colour" bash. The couple doesn't have an invite to the military event, which continues their miss of this significant royal tradition.
The palace skipped inviting the former royals to the Queen's birthday parade on June 15 for the second time. They were also absent in 2022, when Harry and Meghan made their last appearance back in 2018. That's when they showed up during the celebration to commemorate their wedding.
The couple was also on the balcony with the whole Royal Family not long after the birth of their son Archie during the event. From 2020 and 2021, the ceremony took a smaller form at Windsor Castle for Queen Elizabeth II because of COVID-19. This meant no big family gathering.
In 2022, Harry and Meghan participated in the event again, but it was for the special Platinum Jubilee day. But they didn't join the rest of the royal family on the balcony.
These days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex don't visit the UK often. It's mainly because of security issues and the tension between Harry and his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William.
There was some uncertainty about whether the parade would happen this year. After Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said there would be elections on July 4, the King and Prince William canceled all their planned events. Then, it got confirmed that the Queen's birthday bash would go on as usual.
King Charles will be present, though he won't ride a horse to the palace like usual. He'll sit with Queen Consort Camilla in a carriage. As for Princess Kate, it's undecided if she'll make it to the balcony following her cancer treatment. The Daily Mirror said Kate is weighing the option of showing up if she feels good enough.
