"What's happening on the ARD New Year's Eve show this year? 'The Bergdoktor' actor Hans Sigl (54) has declared his exit from the event. Through an Instagram post, the actor said, 'due to my busy schedule for the filming of the 18th season of 'The Bergdoktor' and other professional responsibilities, unfortunately, I can't be part of the big New Year's Eve show this time.' He was thankful for his previous participation in the show, expressing gratitude to the entire production team.
Sigl has played the lead character, Martin Gruber, in the popular ZDF series 'The Bergdoktor' since 2008. The filming for the new episodes is slated to air by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025. He has also participated in the thriller 'Flight from Lisbon,' where he played the lead character. This filmed in Lisbon and the area around it.
Francine Jordi, a Swiss moderator and singer, also announced her exit from the ARD New Year's Eve show in mid-March. 'After nine years of joy, fun, experience, maturity, friendships, challenges, passion, and 'Prosit New Year,' I have decided to leave the production team of 'The Big New Year's Eve Show' as a moderator,' she said in her Instagram post. 'It was a great gift for me to be part of the New Year's Eve family.' Francine had moderated the show since 2015, initially paired with Alexander Mazza (51). Later, Jörg Pilawa (58) took over, and in 2022, he was substituted with Hans Sigl. We still don't know how or with which team the 'Big New Year's Eve Show' will continue in the future."
