Prince William - Hannah Waddingham makes Royal laugh

Hannah Waddingham (49) provided entertainment for Prince William (42) at the Earthshot Prize event in London. The British actress and the heir to the throne participated in a panel discussion about the Earthshot Prize, which was founded by William and David Attenborough (98) in 2020. Hannah Waddingham, the "Ted Lasso" star, led the round with businesswoman Hannah Jones, trustee Tokunboh Ishmael, and Prince William, as they spoke about the environmental prize.

Applause and Laughter for Hannah Waddingham

During the conversation, according to British media reports, Prince William was reportedly gushing about Hannah Jones and her work for the Earthshot Prize. She had "not only flown the plane but also built it, served the drinks, taken care of all the emergencies, and landed it..." Before William could finish his sentence, Waddingham interrupted and said, "Because she's a woman." The reaction from the audience was not just applause but also laughter. The Prince agreed with the actress and shared a laugh with her.

Previously, it is said that Prince William and Hannah Waddingham had already discussed her current film: "Congratulations on 'The Fall Guy'", the heir to the throne reportedly said, according to the "Daily Mail" - and also gave away the ending role of the actress in the film.

The Earthshot Prize is awarded in Cape Town

The Earthshot Prize will be awarded in November in Cape Town, South Africa. For the first time, the award ceremony for the environmental prize took place in London in 2021, in December 2022 in Boston, and in the previous year in Singapore. Earthshot is intended to run for a total of ten years and to give away prizes worth more than 50 million dollars during this period. It is still not known whether Prince William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales (42), will travel to Cape Town in the fall for the award ceremony. The Princess of Wales is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

HannDestined for the panel discussion in Cape Town, Hannah Waddingham and Hannah Jones were set to join forces once again, following their successful collaboration in London. The topic of discussion this time was the Earthshot Prize, an environmental award initiated by Princess Kate's husband, Prince William, and renowned broadcaster David Attenborough.

In anticipation of the upcoming Cape Town event, Prince William expressed his admiration for Hannah Jones' contributions to the Earthshot Prize, comparing her work to the management of a complex aircraft. Amidst his praise, Hannah Waddingham playfully interjected, contributing to a wave of applause and laughter from the audience.

Upon reflecting on their interactions, Prince William reminisced about their conversation regarding Hannah Waddingham's role in the film "The Fall Guy." According to reports, he commended her performance and even hinted at a significant plot twist.

As the Earthshot Prize gears up for its next award ceremony in Cape Town, the hosts anticipate the involvement of Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton. However, due to the Princess of Wales' ongoing treatment for cancer, their presence remains uncertain.

Bringing together a star-studded lineup, including David Attenborough, Princess Kate, and Prince William, the Earthshot Prize in Cape Town promises to be an event of global significance, focusing on environmental change and sustainability.
