H.P. Baxxter gets married at Sylt's church.
Scooter lead singer H.P. Baxxter and his spouse Sara tied the knot on Sylt, Germany in a fancy ceremony.
Scooter frontman H.P. Baxxter entered matrimony once more. Following their civil wedding at the Sylter Heimatmuseum, Baxxter and his partner Sara exchanged vows in a church on the following day.
Many spectators gathered at St. Severin Church in Keitum, anticipating a glimpse of the newlyweds and a chance to snap their images with their mobile phones. As the bride and groom, respectively, arrived in separate passes at the church, the torrential downpour intensified. Notable guests included chef Tim Mälzer and FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki.
The wedding had been kept secret for a while, but H.P. Baxxter had shared a photo of himself and Sara on his Instagram, taken in front of the Heimatmuseum, which also served as a registry office, on the previous day with a caption proclaiming they had just tied the knot. This post garnered over 17,000 likes, even catching the attention of Hamburg's deputy mayor Karatina Fegebank.
After the church wedding, rumor has it that H.P. Baxxter and his younger wife by more than 35 years were planning to celebrate their union with family and friends at the high-end restaurant Sansibar. The musician, whose real name is Hans Peter Geerdes and hails from Leer in Ostfriesland, has been married before - twice, to be exact.
