The actor, Erich Anderson, who played in shows like "Felicity," "Dallas," and "Melrose Place," died on May 31st after a battle with cancer. His wife, Saxon Trainor, announced his passing on Instagram. Anderson was 67 years old.

21-Year Marriage with Wife Saxon Trainer

His wife, Trainor, who'd been married to him for 21 years, posted a photo of her late husband on social media, but relied on the words of her brother-in-law Michael O'Malley to convey her emotions. The couple lost Anderson after a challenging fight against cancer. Anderson had enjoyed a successful career as an actor and was known for being a smart, humorous man and a great cook. "We will miss him, but his struggle is over," said O'Malley.

Erich Anderson was born in 1957 and kicked off his career with a part in the horror movie "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" (1984). He was then cast as Dr. Edward Porter in the 1998 series "Felicity," where Keri Russell played the lead role Felicity Porter. Anderson also featured in "Melrose Place," "Dallas," "Murder, She Wrote," "CSI," and "CSI: Miami." In addition, he starred in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1992) and "Unfaithful" with Richard Gere and Diane Lane in 2002. His most recent acting gigs were in "Officer Downe" (2016), "The Neighbor: The Danger Lives Next Door" (2017), and "Cold Brook" (2018).

Besides acting, Anderson dabbled in writing and authored the books "Hallowed Be Thy Name" (2012), "Thy Kingdom Come" (2014), and "Rabbit: A Golf Fable" (2022).
