Suits - Green light for spin-off of the lawyers series

Fans of the legal drama "Suits" can look forward to it. Officially, NBC will launch the spin-off "Suits: L.A." following the success of the original series as a streaming favorite. According to US industry portal "The Hollywood Reporter".

It is not yet known when NBC will air "Suits: L.A.", but it is possible that it could start in the second half of the 2024-25 season, it is reported. Like the original, "Suits: L.A." is created by Aaron Korsh (57). Since "Suits" became a big streaming hit last year, Korsh and the "Suits" production company began developing a second series. However, the characters from the original series, which is set in New York, will not be appearing in it for now. NBC ordered a pilot for the series in February and it was shot in the spring.

About "Suits: L.A."

In "Suits: L.A.", Stephen Amell (43) plays the role of Ted Black, a former prosecutor from New York who now runs a law firm in Los Angeles. According to "The Hollywood Reporter", "His law firm is in crisis, and to survive, he must take on a role he has hated throughout his entire career." Ted is also surrounded by an "impressive group of characters", whose loyalty to Ted and to each other will be put to the test. The personal lives of the lawyers are also reportedly a focus of the series. The cast is said to include Josh McDermitt (46), Lex Scott Davis (33), and Bryan Greenberg (46).

Rumors about Duchess Meghan

Rumors about the "Suits" spin-off have circulated in the past few months, including rumors about a possible return from Duchess Meghan (42). The original series, through which Meghan Markle became known, ended five years ago. The "Daily Mail" reported in February, citing sources involved with the new series, that Meghan has no plans to appear in the new TV show.

Meghan played the legal assistant Rachel Zane in the original series, which ran from 2011 to 2019. She left the series in 2017, after her relationship with Prince Harry began.
