Gigi and Eric are drawing closer, while Kader employs "prime-time" for a significant subject matter.

Day 6 gets heated: The shovel-thief "Winni" disgusts, Kader opens up, and Thorsten cries again. But a tough nicotine withdrawal and a "mental" jungle challenge also mark this eventful day.

"Winni", you old shovel-thief! What possessed you? Hopefully, dear readers, you're not eating just now because this conversation is about to get pretty icky! On day 6 in the jungle, our Eric is frantically searching for his beloved fire shovel. Yes, it's "pretty much grown on his heart"! So, it's no wonder his spirit is aching that this iron love has suddenly vanished. The shock is even deeper when Winfried admits to using it to scrape out the campers' waste from the toilet. How to clean that thing now? Maybe just keep it in the coals for a while!

After the quarrels of the past few days, the nature lovers prove that they can also conduct normal conversation. Of course, the tears flow once more, for example, when the strong-willed Thorsten talks about his grown children and reveals that one of them wants to "live his own way" but is "being led astray by the wrong people."

Kader will never know the stresses of parenthood, even though she would have loved to be a mother. In 2017, during her family planning, she was diagnosed with endometriosis - the chameleon among women's diseases, which often goes unnoticed, causes severe pain, and is often associated with unfulfilled child dreams. Kader had her uterus removed and suddenly entered early menopause.

Kader's bravery: Taboo topics and hard truths

The 51-year-old uses her time to shed light on important topics that are often taboo. She also talks about anxiety disorders and panic attacks, and draws attention to the lack of knowledge about endometriosis, which still leads many women to suffer unnecessarily, and their symptoms to be misinterpreted or ignored, making early diagnosis and appropriate treatment harder.

Otherwise, day 6 is the start of a "big feast" - at least when it comes to dinner. With rumbling stomachs, the group devours the delicious roasted ostrich meat served with vegetables. While eating the meat, some wonder if the skin can be eaten too. "That's not skin, it's leather, the type used to make Hermès bags," says Giulia. Nearly everyone swoons from the irresistible aroma as they enjoy the meat with a relish.

With full stomachs, gossip follows more easily. Thorsten and his sister, Germany's most famous smoker, take turns doing the night watch. They discuss the campers and their supposed faults. There are supposedly "really rude, negative, and malicious people" in the jungle!

Conversations about sex and toxic mothers

Meanwhile, "Winni" and Kader share their fire duty chatting about sex. Can a 80-year-old still have children? Is anything still happening down there? Kader is curious. Glatzeder's answer: "You need a young woman, not an old, rotten one." The new team leader doesn't want to dive too deep into the details, though.

Day 6 is also the day when Gigi faces his arch-nemesis again - the dreaded nicotine craving. His last cigarette, he would like to pass to Elena. But it becomes clear from the start that he finds it extremely hard to stick to his smoke-free time. Not even an immoral proposal from the "Warrior of Love" distracts him from nicotine withdrawal. It could have been a passionate kiss between the two, but according to Eric, Gigi is "not ready for the next level in life" because he's "shy and uptight."

Hanka, on the other hand, can't understand why she's an outcast. She would love to chat with people, but she doesn't know what she's doing wrong. "Every time I enter a room, I feel like people roll their eyes when they see me." Perhaps Gerti Bülowius feels the same way about her daughter Georgina. The mother-daughter relationship, as reported by the Dubai expat, has been "damaged" for years. "She embarrasses me to death," says Georgina about the "toxic" woman who "was never a good mother to her three children" but hopes she'll at least be a "good grandmother."

But there's also a success to report. Mola and Giulia have to face a "crazy" jungle challenge together - the one that Eric once steadfastly refused. Chained in a cage, they're lowered into a deep, cold river where they have 15 minutes to open the locks of their chains while standing in 17-degree water. With six stars earned, they are mainly one thing: betters than camp coach Thorsten. But the joy is short-lived, as many rule violations are punished at the end of the day. And who bears the most blame? The intellect with a "don't care" attitude.

Despite the events of the day, the campers manage to have a normal conversation, albeit touched by emotions. Thorsten shares his heartache over one of his children's choices, while Kader opens up about her struggle with endometriosis and early menopause. As for Winni, the jungle camp sees a new dimension to his character as he confesses to using Eric's shovel for a rather unsavory task. This leaves Eric searching for a solution to clean the now "contaminated" shovel.
