The 2014 World Cup champion and former coach of SCR Altach in Austria is now eager to kickstart his career as a trainer in Germany. The 46-year-old expressed his enthusiasm and said, "The values this club represents have instantly captivated me." He signed a two-year contract.

The new sports director, Joti Chatzialexiou, was full of praise for Klose's skills. "Miro is a highly detailed and meticulous trainer with a wealth of experience from his time as a player and his previous coaching roles. He has a very clear vision of what it takes to succeed in football." According to Chatzialexiou, the team has a lot of work to do. His appointment should aid in the process of acquiring new players.

From Bayern to Austria

Klose has coached football youth in Bavaria and Austria. Prior to the Austrian stint, he garnered trainer experience with FC Bayern Munich's U17 and served as a co-coach for their professional team. After his time at Bayern, Klose ventured to Austria where he didn't hesitate to accept the 'Club' offer.

"The club already has a stellar foundation for youth development, and our plan is to build upon that," Klose said during the presentation. Both Chatzialexiou and Klose shared a long professional history as they had worked together at the German Football Association where Chatzialexiou held a senior management position.

Klose's mission

A week ago, Chatzialexiou divulged that Cristian Fiél would be leaving the club prematurely. He's currently in search of a new opportunity at Hertha BSC.

At the presentation of Chatzialexiou, he set high expectations for the team, remarking, "Teams like St. Pauli, Leverkusen, and Stuttgart, all of which are successful with a similar playing style - that's where we're headed." He envisions a "good axis with two or three leadership players." Now it's up to Klose to bring the team on a successful path.
