The German U17s have won the World Cup final against France and are world champions. After taking a 2-0 lead, the German team first had to concede a goal and then lost Winner Osawe to a yellow card. Outnumbered from the 69th minute onwards, the DFB juniors conceded 2:2. After no further goals were scored in regulation time plus ten minutes of stoppage time, the teams went into a penalty shoot-out. The DFB juniors won this 4:3.
