A short time after the European Championship, the Nations League continues. The matches involving German participation are broadcast by ZDF and ARD alternately.

UEFA Nations League - German games on ZDF and RTL

In the autumn, football fans can look forward to a reunion with the German team after their home European Championship quarter-final exit. The UEFA Nations League is entering a new round, and Germany's first match of the season will be against Hungary in Duesseldorf, which has been secured for broadcast by ZDF.

Additionally, ZDF will show two more games involving German participation: On 14 October, there will be a true football classic to see in Munich with Julian Nagelsmann's team (37) playing against the Netherlands. The last game with ZDF broadcasting is then the return match against Hungary on 19 November in Budapest.

The remaining games on RTL

The remaining six group matches of the German team will be shown on RTL. The private broadcaster will show the away match against the Netherlands on 10 September in the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, as well as the home and away matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina. The game on 11 October will be played in Zenica, and on 16 November in the Europa-Park Stadion in Freiburg.

Kick-off is at 20:45 hours for all matches, and as usual, the Nations League matches of other countries will be covered by ZDF with summaries.

What is the Nations League?

The UEFA Nations League is entering its fourth round this autumn. All 55 member associations of the UEFA participate in this tournament, which are divided into Leagues and Groups based on their performance in previous tournaments.

We have faced each other in home-and-away matches, and the top four teams of League A, to which Germany also belongs, will play for the trophy at the end. For the German team, it has never reached the next round before, but the team led by captain Ilkay Gündogan (33) has new hope after their good performance at the home European Championship.

  1. Despite Germany's home European Championship quarter-final exit, soccer fans are excited for their reunion with the team in the upcoming UEFA Nations League.
  2. Duesseldorf, specifically, will host Germany's first match of the season against Hungary, which is scheduled for broadcast on ZDF.
  3. Notably, ZDF will also broadcast two other games involving German participation, including a match against Julian Nagelsmann's team in Munich against the Netherlands.
  4. In Munich, viewers can expect a thrilling encounter between Nagelsmann's team and the Dutch squad on 14 October, which will be shown on ZDF.
  5. The final ZDF-broadcasted game will be the return match against Hungary on 19 November in Budapest.
  6. Besides ZDF, RTL will broadcast the remaining six group matches of the German team, including an away match against the Netherlands in the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam.
  7. The UEFA Nations League, entering its fourth round this autumn, is a tournament open to all 55 member associations of UEFA, divided into Leagues and Groups based on their previous tournament performances.
