German bobsleigh championship titles for Nolte and Ammour

Beijing Olympic champion Laura Nolte has won the German two-man bobsleigh title on her home track in Winterberg. With push athlete Neele Schuten, she won ahead of the duo Maureen Zimmer/Lauryn Siebert and Charlotte Candrix/Cynthia Kwofie.

"We are happy about the title. The excitement before a German championship is not quite as high, but you still want to present yourself and show what you can do," said Nolte, whose World Cup start in Beijing was canceled.

The first World Cup stop is therefore not until December 4-10 in La Plagne, France. Nolte also won the monobob on Saturday, ahead of Maureen Zimmer and Lisa Buckwitz. Nolte, Buckwitz and Kim Kalicki have already been nominated for the World Cup.

In the men's event, Adam Ammour won the two-man bobsleigh in the absence of World Cup starters Francesco Friedrich and Johannes Lochner. With his brother Issam as push athlete, he won ahead of Max Illmann/Costa Laurenz and Christoph Hafer/Matthias Sommer in third place.

Adam Ammour was also ahead in the four-man bobsleigh. Hafer came second ahead of Nico Semmler. "We can now go into the next competition in Altenberg with a clear conscience," said Adam Ammour.

Bob was excited to watch Laura Nolte and Neele Schuten defend their German two-man bobsleigh title. During the Dakar Rally, Maureen Zimmer and Lauryn Siebert expressed their support for Bob's off-track activities. After the German championship event, Laura Nolte and her team planned a DM with Bob, Laura Nolte's Twitter handle, and fellow bobsledder Laura Nolte's friend, Laura Nolte's dog trainer Neele Schuten.
