20. Jubilee - From Sarah Knappik to Glatzenpeter: These are the 13 Jungle Camp candidates in the summer

13 is considered an unlucky number, but for fans of German Trash-TV, number 13 brings Luck in this year. Starting from August 16, "I'm a Star – Showdown of Jungle Legends" will air on RTL every evening at 8:15 pm, and the day before, viewers can even stream the campfire conversations on RTL+.

In celebration of the show's 20th anniversary, 13 former contestants are returning to the Junglecamp. For the viewers, this means a reunion with particularly extroverted and polarizing participants. The special season "I'm a Star – Showdown of Jungle Legends" takes place in South Africa. Of course, the moderators Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen, as well as Dr. Bob, are also present.

The 13 Junglecamp Contestants are a wild mix

The following contestants have been announced: Giulia Siegel, Sarah Knappik, Georgina Fleur, Winfried Glatzeder, Mola Adebisi, David Ortega, Thorsten Legat, Kader Loth, Hanka Rackwitz, Elena Miras, Daniela Büchner, Eric Stehfest, and Gigi Birofio.

As always, RTL is looking for the Jungleking – and only one can become the legend among the Jungle Legends. However, there are a few differences compared to the regular Junglecamp: There is no live broadcast, and filming in the Swadini National Park, which is part of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve in South Africa, has already begun. It's the same location where the camp was during the pandemic in 2022.

Additionally, new rules have been introduced: The contestants will come to the camp alone, without accompaniment, and leave immediately after their elimination. Since there are no viewers, the contestants now nominate each other. They have the opportunity to shield others from challenges, similar to "Summer House of Stars".

The 13 returning contestants are eager to revive their camaraderie in the South African Junglecamp, which is reminiscent of their shared experiences from the previous season during the pandemic. Despite the new rule of nominating each other instead of viewers, they still strive to obtain the right to left position as the Jungleking or Junglelegend, mirroring their quest for happiness in the unpredictable and exciting environment of Junglecamp.
