Fomer pro basketball player Drew Gordon, sibling of Denver Nuggets' star, passes away at 33 years old.
The Denver Nuggets organization posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that they're heartbroken to learn about the sudden death of Drew Gordon. "Drew was sadly taken from this world, but his memory will live on through his three lovely kids and all his loved ones," the statement reads further.
ESPN states that Gordon was in a car crash in Portland, Oregon, as confirmed by his agent.
We reached out to Gordon's agent for comment and to the Portland police for more details about the accident.
Gordon played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014-15 season and also had stints in Lithuania and Poland. He won the Polish Championship with Enea Zastal BC Zielona Góra.
Rytas Vilnius, Gordon's former team in Lithuania, shared a tribute on Facebook: "The basketball world received shocking news – our ex-player Drew Gordon passed away at age 33. Rest in peace, Drew."
