Flames erupt - once again - at the "summer house".
The "Summer House of Stars" has been undergoing a transformation into a house of horrors over the years. Previous seasons were marred by constant arguments and fights, and it's expected that the latest one, still being filmed, will be just as heated.
What's the deal with the curse haunting this "Summer House of Stars" show on RTL and RTL+? Not only do many celebrity couples who participate in the show end up breaking up once the show ends, but the conflicts between the residents have been getting more intense with each passing season.
Take the fifth season in 2020, for example. It was marked by the bullying incident involving former "Bachelor" candidate Eva Benetatou and the spitting attack by Georgina Fleur's then-boyfriend Kubilay Özdemir on former TV rose Andrej Mangold. Or the previous season, where Luigi "Gigi" Birofio was physically attacked and subsequently kicked out of the show by the production.
The farm in Bocholt, where the filming for the show takes place, can't be blamed for the "Summer House" curse. In fact, the breakups of the celebrity couples had already happened when the show was still filming in Portugal.
Eight Celebrity Couples in Bocholt
The ninth season, which was filmed in Bocholt and is set to air later in the summer, will also be no exception. There were already issues that required a security intervention, according to RTL. They've managed to handle it and clear things up, though.
RLT didn't disclose which couples were involved in the conflict. All they would say is that "everything about it will be seen in the upcoming season of 'Summer House of Stars'."
We do, however, know which eight couples are living together in Bocholt, trying their best to get along and win the title of "Promi Couple 2024": Raul Richter and Vanessa Schmitt, Alessia Herren and her partner Can, Tessa Bergmeier and her friend Jakob, Sarah Kern and Tobias Pankow, Sam Dylan and Rafi Rachek, Theresia Fischer and her friend Michael, Gloria Glumac and her friend Stefan Kleiser, and Umut Tekin and Emma Fernlund.
