"FC Bayern's feverish obsession takes hold with 'Wusiala'" (Paraphrased)

Bayern Munich's summer transfer window has wrapped up, but they're already looking towards the future, with Jamal Musiala's future being a major focus. Florian Wirtz and a player from Leipzig are also under consideration.

Musiala and Wirtz might soon be shining together at Bayern Munich. This isn't just a pipe dream or wishful thinking, but a possibility that could become a reality soon. "I can already visualize it," said German national team coach, Julian Nagelsmann, with a grin, "but it'll be costly." There are already whispers of a glorious future for "Wusiala" in Munich.

Bayern's top priority is to secure an early contract extension for Jamal Musiala. After returning from the national team, further negotiations are planned. "We're always in touch. He's slated to become a face of FC Bayern in the future," said sports director, Max Eberl, to "Sport Bild", adding, "His journey at FC Bayern is far from over. He wants to win trophies, and that's what we want too."

A "lifetime contract" for Musiala in the works?

Previously, club president, Herbert Hainer, had also underscored the importance of the 21-year-old for the club. Hainer even envisions a type of "lifetime contract" for the prodigy. "We want to make every effort to bind him for the long term. In my opinion, he could be the second Thomas Muller at Bayern and play here for the next 20 years."

Musiala's contract expires in 2026. Real Madrid and Manchester City have long had the offensive player, whose market value is 130 million euros, on their watchlist. It's no surprise, according to Eberl, "Jamal is a player like there are very few. After almost every game, his teammates praise him - it's a pleasure to play alongside him, and it's a pleasure to watch him."

England could be a tempting proposition for the lanky magician. He spent most of his youth as a footballer in English Premier League academies, first briefly at FC Southampton and later for over eight years at the now-chaotic FC Chelsea. He also represented England's youth teams.

Matthäus urges Bayern to keep Musiala

German record player, Lothar Matthäus, sees Musiala as one of the faces of German football. "I enjoy watching him almost as much as Messi in his prime." He therefore urged Bayern to "absolutely" do everything to keep Musiala. Matthäus also brings Wirtz back into the conversation. Bayern could potentially use Wirtz as a bargaining chip in talks with Musiala, he suggested.

The idea isn't far-fetched, as honorary president, Uli Hoeneß, has repeatedly expressed his desire to bring the coveted Leverkusen player to Munich. Wirtz's contract expires in 2027, with a market value of 130 million euros, like Musiala's. According to "Sport Bild", Hoeneß is said to have already met with Wirtz's parents, Karin and Hans, at Tegernsee.

Leroy Sane a key factor for titles

But Musiala and Wirtz aren't the only major personnel issues that Munich is currently considering with an eye towards a brighter future. Leipzig's Xavi Simons is said to be back on Bayern's radar for next summer. Furthermore, talks are planned soon with Leroy Sané and DFB captain, Joshua Kimmich, whose contracts expire in 2025.

"We all know: He is a factor in winning titles," said Eberl about Sane. Hainer, on the other hand, supported Kimmich, "I would be thrilled if Jo ended his career at FC Bayern, but not next year, but in many, many years to come." Just like Jamal Musiala.

FC Bayern Munich is actively working on extending Jamal Musiala's contract, with possibilities of a "lifetime contract" being discussed. This move is seen as crucial to securing the young prodigy's future at the club, as he is highly sought after by other top clubs.

German record player, Lothar Matthäus, has urged Bayern to keep Musiala, stating that he is one of the faces of German football and a pleasure to watch. The idea of using Florian Wirtz as a bargaining chip in negotiations with Musiala has also been suggested.
