FC Bayern president Hainer mourns the loss of his wife

Tragedy Strikes FC Bayern Munich. Reports suggest that the wife of Bayern President Herbert Hainer has passed away. Angelika Hainer is said to be laid to rest in the closest family and friends' circle.

Former Adidas CEO Herbert Hainer faces another blow. As reported by the 'Bild' newspaper, the 70-year-old President of FC Bayern Munich is mourning the loss of his wife. Angelika Hainer, 66, has passed away. A obituary reads, "I would have liked to stay a little longer."

Details about the exact cause of death are not known. However, the 'Bild' newspaper reports that she was afflicted by several severe illnesses. Angelika Hainer is said to be laid to rest in the closest family and friends' circle.

This is the second such tragedy for Hainer in his immediate family: In 2006, his daughter Kathrin passed away a day after her 23rd birthday from a pulmonary embolism. A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot blocks a blood vessel in the lung and requires immediate hospital treatment.

It is reported that Angelika and Herbert Hainer met in Dingolfing, where the future Adidas CEO ran a pub during his business studies. The couple was married for over 30 years.

Hainer served as the CEO of Adidas from 2001 to 2016. In November 2019, he was elected President of FC Bayern, succeeding Uli Hoeneß.

The football community mourns the loss of Angelika Hainer, as her deaths have left a void in the closest circle of her husband, FC Bayern Munich President Herbert Hainer. Despite serving as the CEO of Adidas for over a decade and leading FC Bayern as president, this personal tragedy is undeniably his greatest challenge yet.
