Farewell tour for '80s celebrity

Cyndi Lauper, who beautifully represents the 80s era, is currently embarking on a massive farewell tour. The tour ends by the end of the year.

Cyndi Lauper in the Spotlight - Farewell tour for '80s celebrity

American singer Cyndi Lauper (70) is bidding farewell to live performances. The artist and promoter Live Nation made the announcement on Instagram, stating that the performer behind "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" will set off on a final tour this fall. Starting in October, Lauper will play in arenas throughout North America, ending her live career after a total of 23 dates. This is her first major concert tour in nearly a decade.

Her decision to embark on the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour" has yet to be disclosed. She is expected to address her retirement during the premiere of her documentary "Let the Canary Sing" on Paramount+. The tour starts on October 18 in Montreal, Canada and concludes with a performance on December 5 at the United Center in Chicago.

No European/German dates confirmed yet

Following dates include Toronto, Detroit, Boston, Washington, New York City, Nashville, Columbus, Tampa, Hollywood, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Dallas, and Austin. No European or German shows have been announced yet.

Fans can gain early access to tickets through an Artist Presale Pre-Sale on Tuesday, June 4. The general pre-sale is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 7, Live Nation states. Currently, Lauper's documentary is generating attention. Following its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, the singer will receive handprints in the pavement at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Friday for the streaming premiere. She'll also be a guest on popular talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday.
