EM 2024 fans - Fan march outside, cup delights inside: the White Wall in the Westfalenstadion
Hundreds, if not thousands, of Football fans ran together towards the stadium: Fan marches have something martial yet also nervous about them – but of course, the procession of DFB fans in Dortmund was also intended as such: Behind a double-decker bus, an army of black-and-red-and-white clad supporters of the national team marched towards Westfalenstadion. The "White Wall" was on board, complete with black-red-gold flagging.
New Friend of the Caravan: Philipp Lahm
This isn't the first fan march of the tournament. The newest fan of the fan march is Philipp Lahm: "Fans bring joy to life. Fan marches through inner cities are the newest mass phenomenon. It's these encounters that make the tournament a European festival. It's just great fun and it can continue like this," wrote the tournament director on X, formerly Twitter.
The European Football Championship is currently underway, attracting a multitude of soccer fans. Philip Lahm, a former German national team captain, joined the fan march in Dortmund, expressing his enthusiasm for the event. During the march, the DFB fans passionately displayed their support for the team by waving black-red-gold flags.
