Famous individuals promote European elections using toothbrushes.

Stefanie Giesinger, Barbara Schoeneberger, and other popular figures in the German entertainment industry are part of a new Instagram video for a dental hygiene brand, but there's more to this than meets the eye. This video carries a significant message, related to the impending European election. Just like how it's important to brush your teeth daily, voting should be that natural and regular for everyone.

Currently, an eye-catching clip is making the rounds on social media. It shows famous faces like Barbara Schoeneberger, Florian David Fitz, and Stefanie Giesinger engaging in an everyday task – brushing their teeth. But there's a profound underlying purpose.

The celebrities aim to persuade people to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming European election scheduled for this Sunday (9th June). The slogan is loud and clear: "Voting is like brushing your teeth - if you don't do it, it'll rot."

Along with Schoeneberger, Fitz, and Giesinger, influencer Marie Nasemann, actress Caro Cult, as well as actors, Jannis Niewoehner, Jannik Schumann, Tim Oliver Schultz, and Hannes Jaenicke, are also featured in this captivating video. They passionately speak out in favor of democracy and against right-wing extremism at the dental hygiene station. Playing subtly in the background is a song specially composed for the campaign by Bodo Wartke and Marti Fischer.

"Voting is crucial"

The lyrics of the song include: "This election is a must-have, believe me. And it won't happen without your say. So, don't overlook your power. Since each vote can alter the course."

Citizens of the 27 participating EU countries are to elect a new European Parliament. The voting process will take place from Thursday (6th June) to Sunday (9th June). If you're a German national aged 16, living in Germany, and possessing either German or another EU nationality, and are registered in the voters' list, you're eligible to cast your vote. If, for some reason, you can't go to the polling station on the 9th of June, you can still apply for a postal vote up until 7th June, 6 p.m.
