- Exploring the Television Offerings for the Upcoming Autumn Season.

Increased home time for many comes with the fall, as TV stations gear up for more content post the subdued summer season. Here are some noteworthy shows:

"The Ultimate Showdown: Raab vs. Halmich"

Eight years after his TV appearance hiatus, entertainer Stefan Raab (57) steps back into the limelight on September 14. This time, he'll enter the ring for the third time against former boxing champion Regina Halmich (47). Elton (53) will oversee the event, while Frank "Buschi" Buschmann (59) provides commentary. The highly anticipated boxing spectacle between Raab and Halmich will be live on RTL. Barely 15,000 viewers are projected to attend the showdown at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf.

"The Den of Lions"

First aired on VOX in 2014, "The Den of Lions" is Germany's spinoff of the British series "Dragon's Den." In each episode, entrepreneurs pitch their products, hoping for an investor's backing. Judith Williams (52) returns to her regular role for the upcoming 16th season (every Monday), while two original lions will also reappear: Frank Thelen (48) and Jochen Schweizer (67) for the anniversary episode.

"The Extraordinary Talent Show"

Scheduled for fall 2024, this talent show will feature Katrin Bauerfeind (42) as its host. The premise? Five celebrities must create their unique mini-shows based on suggestions from kids in each episode. The first of four episodes will be aired on ProSieben at 8:15 PM on September 17 (simultaneously on Joyn).

"Who's Hijacking My Show?"

The quiz show "Who's Hijacking My Show?" made a comeback on September 8 (every Sunday at 8:15 PM on ProSieben, one week prior on Joyn) for its 8th season. Season 7 pitted Joko Winterscheidt (45) against Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40), Sarah Connor (44), and Lena Meyer-Landrut (33). Now, Nina Chuba (25), Kurt Krömer (49), and podcaster Tommi Schmitt (35) join the fray in six new episodes, along with a wildcard guest from the audience in each episode. Contestants must demonstrate their quiz skills in various categories, with the finalists squaring off against the host in a battle for supremacy. As in the past, Katrin Bauerfeind will moderate the final rounds.

"Germany's Top Talent"

The highly popular casting series "Germany's Top Talent" returns with a fresh batch of episodes. The jury, consisting of Dieter Bohlen (70), Pietro Lombardi (32), Beatrice Egli (36), and Loredana (28), wrapped up castings at Europa-Park in Rust. Starting September 18, the jury, led by Dieter Bohlen, will hunt for the next superstar. New episodes will air on RTL every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:15 PM. This season will clock in at only 15 episodes, making it the shortest one yet. Only the finale will be live-streamed this time around. The premiere will be available for streaming on RTL+ one week before the TV debut.

New season, new coaches: The iconic red chairs at "The Voice of Germany" welcome fresh faces. For the 14th season of the music show, Mark Forster (41), Yvonne Catterfeld (44), and Samu Haber (48) return as coaches. Completing the quartet is singer and songwriter Kamrad (27), marking his first appearance on "The Voice of Germany." Thore Schölermann (39) and Melissa Khalaj (35) will return as hosts for this season, with the Blind Auditions set to commence on September 26th (every Thursday at 8:15 PM on ProSieben, Fridays at 8:15 PM on Sat.1, and on Joyn).

The Commission reviewed the upcoming lineup of shows, including "Germany's Top Talent" and "The Voice of Germany," to ensure fair competition and entertainment for viewers. The Commission also acknowledged the upcoming talent show, "The Extraordinary Talent Show," and its unique concept of involving children in the creation process of mini-shows.
