EU's Departure from the EU: Insights from Gosens

Robin Gosens, the national football player, shares his experiences after switching from 1. FC Union Berlin to AC Florence at the last minute of the transfer period. Despit being German, Gosens confesses that he and his family never felt at ease in Germany. "Berlin wasn't home for us, but Italy is," he said during his unveiling ceremony at the Italian club.

The 30-year-old lashed out about his lack of comfort in Germany within his official presentation at Serie A. Many Union Berlin fans were unhappy and upset with his sudden decision to leave. While he didn't elaborate on the specific reasons behind his transfer, he thanked his social media followers for their support with a heartfelt post: "I gave it my all for this club."

Gosens previously spent time in Italy, playing for Atalanta Bergamo and Inter Milan. He fondly remembers this period as the best phase of his career and praised the Fiorentina management for giving him the chance to shine once more. When asked about interest from other Italian clubs during the summer transfer window, Gosens revealed that several teams had shown interest. "Yeah, there were some inquiries about me," he admitted. "Obviously, I left a good impression in the past. And last season was also crucial on a personal level, scoring seven goals and recording four assists." Sadly, Union Berlin only managed to secure a spot in the Bundesliga on the final matchday, after staying on the brink of relegation throughout the season.

Just one day after his transfer, Robin scored the winning goal against Monza in injury-time, signaling a dream start for the newcomer. He reflected on the potential he saw in his new team during his initial days at the Serie A club.

Gosens expressed his joy about returning to Italy, where he previously enjoyed his best career phase with Atalanta Bergamo and Inter Milan. Despite interest from other Italian clubs during the summer transfer window, he chose to join AC Florence.

After his successful debut in the Serie A, scoring the winning goal against Monza, Gosens expressed his excitement for the soccer opportunities that awaited him in his new team.
