England football team welcomed by canine companions adorned as royal figures at Euro 2024.
For the football enthusiasts who own pets, especially dogs, the team got special portraits created by Purr & Mutt, a firm that converts beloved pets into "artistic masterpieces."
The England squad's official Instagram account shared images showcasing these adorably regal portrayals, featuring dogs wearing crowns, cloaks, necklaces, and fancy attire.
Some of these furry stars include midfielder Conor Gallagher's fluffy Chow Chow, who celebrated his third birthday recently on Instagram, captain Harry Kane's chocolate Labrador, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's Cavapoo, and midfielder Eberechi Eze's Shar Pei.
With a powerhouse lineup, England started the tournament as a top contender, with high hopes to put an end to the 58-year trophy-less streak for the men's team.
However, the team has struggled in its initial matches, managing a narrow 1-0 victory against Serbia and later drawing 1-1 with Denmark on Thursday.
England manager Gareth Southgate expressed his disappointment, stating, "We're not utilizing the ball well enough, and if you don't do that, you're bound to face hardships like we have." He acknowledged the need to step up their game to reach their full potential.
England currently leads Group C with 4 points and can secure entry into the knockout rounds with a win against Slovenia on Tuesday. But they'll need a significant performance upgrade to live up to their pre-tournament expectations as tournament favorites.
