- Engaging meal and beef preparation at the technologically advanced facility
The eleventh day of "I'm a Star - Jungle Legends Showdown" (with the latest episode on RTL+, followed by linear TV on RTL the next day) begins with the certainty that one of the stars will be leaving the camp. The previous day, Gigi Birofio (25) and Giulia Siegel (49) fell short of their food quota during the "Punishment" trial. Consequently, they started the day with upset stomachs, while the others pondered how the departure of one of the two unstable candidates would impact the group, which had split into two hostile camps. As Eric Stehfest (35) put it, "Today, everything will be decided."
Campers shocked by the sudden expulsion decision
At the episode's start, Giulia made a last-ditch effort to charm Kader Loth (51) and apologize for their past disagreements. Kader remained skeptical and doubted the sincerity of the apology.
After everyone assumed that RTL, "those up there," or perhaps even "God" would decide who would be eliminated, the campers were surprised individually by the announcement in the Jungle Phone that they had to choose who should leave immediately, without consulting anyone else. The spontaneous voting round's results were clear: Only Georgina Fleur (34) picked Gigi, while all the others, including supposed allies Eric and Mola Adebisi (51), wanted Giulia to depart. Giulia's arch-enemy, Elena Miras (32), rejoiced after her vote: "That was the best nomination ever just now!"
Explanation round around the campfire
After the secret vote, Eric, as the team lead, had to relay the group's decision. Equipped with two envelopes, he gathered the campers around the campfire. The first envelope contained instructions for all the stars to reveal who they had chosen and explain their decision publicly. While most justified their decisions with ongoing conflicts and inappropriate interpersonal chemistry, former Viva moderator Adebisi attempted to explain his unexpected nomination by stating that he was concerned about Giulia's health. He noticed that she coughed a lot: "I thought that if you leave, then you will be helped..."
In the second envelope, it was communicated to the tearful Giulia that she wouldn't leave immediately but the next morning. She reacted shocked: "What the hell is this now, another day here." Giulia burst into tears and was comforted. Alongside Georgina, she begged in the Jungle Phone to be released from the camp immediately. And if she had to stay, as Georgina's cunning plea, she at least wanted an extra ration of cigarettes delivered to the camp - considering Giulia no longer had to abide by the rules.
"Better than sex": Muscle team prepares dinner
After the initial excitement subsided, the ingredients for the meal were also delivered, which would be prepared by a solely male team consisting of Thorsten Legat (55), Eric, and Gigi. Since Giulia had sparked the most controversies around the cooking pot, particularly dominating the situation, the men welcomed the "heavenly quiet" during their conflict-free teamwork. Their fellow campers were thrilled by their conflict-free-produced meal, even Giulia had nothing to complain about this time. The always hungry Gigi even claimed that this dinner was "better than sex."
Giulia Siegel's tear-free departure
After Giulia spent her last night in the camp, hosts Jan Köppen (41) and Sonja Zietlow (56) entered and freed her with the enchanting words "You are a star - leave now." Giulia expressed regret about not being able to continue her "journey to greatness," but she departed calmly and without tears, leaving the remaining nine jungle stars behind.
Without further ado, the candidates for the next jungle trial, the "Labyrinth of Horrors," were chosen. Georgina, Kader, and Sarah Knappig (37) volunteered and presented themselves as a harmonious and highly motivated power trio, despite their past disagreements.
Before they could begin the trial, they were advised that good communication among themselves would be crucial in the "Labyrinth of Horrors." One of the women had to stay outside as the group's "brain" and guide the others through the maze one by one. As Dr. Bob (74) explained, the contestants had to crawl on all fours, not stand upright. Sarah Knappig took the position of the "brain," and the fearless Georgina Fleur was the first to crawl into the muddy, crocodile-infested labyrinth.
As expected, despite their good intentions, the first cries of disagreement could be heard after just a few meters, as Georgina didn't appreciate Sarah's military-like tone ("Don't talk to me like that!"). Georgina didn't follow Sarah's instructions and crawled through the maze according to her own whims, leading to an escalation in communication. Nevertheless, Georgina managed to collect five of the nine stars, but unfortunately, Kader had little time left to collect hers. The remaining minutes were spent by the three campers discussing the map of the "Labyrinth of Horrors."
On the journey back to the campsite, a heated disagreement erupts between Kader and Georgina: Kader's upset because she wasn't allowed to gather stars herself, and now she has to face everyone as if she's a loser. Fueled by her anger, Kader accuses Georgina of being manipulative, claiming she intended to hog all the credit during the trial. Sarah tackles in, adding to the unfairness, pushing Georgina over the edge. With a burst of colorful language, including "Alright, you can have the stars and sod off!" and more explicit words, Georgina storms out. The campers, left back at the site, are puzzled by the scene; after all, five stars isn't a bad result. The future of their friendship in the days to come is unpredictable based on these complex happenings.
Impact of Giulia's departure on the camp dynamics
Following Giulia's departure, the camp dynamics shifted significantly. The hostile camps started to merge, no longer divided by Giulia's frequent conflicts.
Reflection on Giulia's influence in the camp
As the remaining campers reflected on Giulia's time in the jungle, they acknowledged her strong personality, which had both influenced and disrupted their living situation.
