Dürr on the podium again in Levi - Shiffrin wins
Ski racer Lena Dürr has also raced to the podium in the second slalom in Levi. One day after her second place, the 32-year-old finished third at the World Cup in Finland.
The athlete from SV Germering benefited from the fact that the previous day's winner, Petra Vlhova from Slovakia, who was in the lead after the first run, fell in the second run and retired. Nevertheless, Dürr confirmed her strong form of the past two years and raised hopes for another successful season.
The victory in Levi on Sunday was secured by US downhill star Mikaela Shiffrin. For the 28-year-old, it was the 89th World Cup success of her career. Croatia's Leona Popovic came second. Dürr's teammate Emma Aicher finished in 23rd place.
Lena Dürr's alpine skiing success continued in Levi, as she earned a podium finish in the World Cup slalom event. Despite Petra Vlhova's lead after the first run, Dürr's impressive performance in the second run allowed her to claim the third position. Reflecting on her strong form from the previous seasons, Dürr's third-place finish in Levi raised expectations for another successful Winter sports campaign.
