- During this specific period, transformations occur.
Günther Jauch (68) invites you once again to the "3-Million-Euro-Week" of the famous quiz show "Who's Got the million Dollar Question?" which airs on RTL at 8:15 PM (also available on RTL+), starting this Monday (2nd of September). It's the sixth edition of this special event, and it marks the end of the show's approximately three-month summer break. Over three consecutive nights, contestants have the opportunity to make their way into the final on Thursday (5th of September).
Contestants grouped into three categories
In each episode, contestants battle for the million-dollar prize, selecting between the high-stakes or safe bet. If they reach at least 16,000 euros and secure it, they earn a ticket to the final, where they can aim for three million euros. The initial rounds will occur on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of September and are categorized for the first time.
On the first evening, only "know-it-alls" will take the hot seat. This will be followed by "generations U30 and U80", and on the last preliminary night, contestants will have a "last chance". The specifics are still under wraps. Each day of the preliminary rounds will host six contestants.
And how can the largest prize in "Who's Got the million Dollar Question?" history be claimed? So far, Günther Jauch has given contestants in the final the chance to play again, with their preliminary round winnings tripled. However, contestants can also decide to keep their full winnings.
Each contestant starts with four jokers and a safety net at question five (1,000 euros). In the first offer round, only money is offered. Up to three additional jokers are offered as the second stage. From then on, any combination of jokers is allowed, and as many can be used per question as needed. The 50:50 joker can only be used once per question.
No one has won the three million euros in the special editions yet. The "WWM" episodes will air from 8:15 PM to 12:00 AM and will be interrupted by a 20-minute "RTL Direct" at 10:15 PM.
