- Due to Oliver Pocher's alleged non-payment of alimony, Amira retains the 100,000 euro earnings.

For the first time post-divorce from Oliver Pocher, Amira Aly went public with her former name and emerged victorious against singer Vanessa Mai in "Beat the Star" on Saturday night. The event host had an upper hand, winning 100,000 euros after 14 games.

"I don't remember being this anxious for such an extended period. I was trembling, feeling jubilant, had a brief moment of despair. It was a wild emotional ride. But it was fantastic! I didn't even register I'd won until Vanessa told me. Then I just erupted with excitement," the 31-year-old shared afterward. She has big plans for her winnings.

"Since I'm presently constructing a home for myself and my two sons in Cologne, and unfortunately, contrary to his public statements, my ex-husband Olli Pocher hasn't been fulfilling his child support obligations, I will be keeping the 100,000 euros," she revealed to Bild.

Amira Aly alleges Olli Pocher's failure to pay child support

Aly and Pocher tied the knot in 2019, and their divorce was concluded in July. As per Amira Aly, she voluntarily waived spousal support during the separation proceedings. However, during her podcast "Love Life" with her brother Hima Aly, she indicated that there was an agreement concerning the children. Nevertheless, Pocher has failed to fulfill his child support obligations for an entire year, despite their two sons mainly staying with her - "even if Olli depicts it differently," she told Bild.

Plans to utilize the "Beat the Star" winnings now include furnishing the new children's bedrooms. Following her victory, Oliver Pocher quickly mockingly commented on Instagram: "Well, now some bills can be settled!" In a story, he also taunted: "Math wasn't her strong suit..." and mentioned instances of Amira Aly's presumed math errors, such as "the income during and post-relationship" or "the birthdates of the children."

Notably, "Beat the Star" is a celebrated program among celebrities that doesn't automatically dedicate winnings to charity. The substantial prize money significantly motivates the celebrities to push themselves during the frequently extended live show. However, this aspect is often criticized by spectators. Even when donations are made, as happened in 2021 when wealthy reality TV star Carmen Geiss was criticized for only wishing to contribute half of her winnings.

Amira Aly mentioned her ex-husband Olli Pocher in her interview with Bild, discussing his alleged failure to fulfill his child support obligations. In her victory speech after winning 100,000 euros on "Beat the Star", Amira Aly Aly also addressed Oliver Pocher, stating that the winnings would be used to renovate her new home and children's bedrooms.
