Dortmund star Adeyemi refuses U21 nomination
Is Karim Adeyemi (21) ruining his European Championship chances with this "no"?
In his second nomination, national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) did not call the BVB professional into his senior squad either. Instead, Adeyemi (4 caps/1 goal) was called up for the U21 squad. However, Adeyemi turned down this invitation and refused to play for the DFB Juniors.

U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo (44) had this to say about Adeyemi's rejection: "I went into talks with Karim and the club. He currently wants to stay at BVB in order to achieve his goals."
Adeyemi has also recently come under fire in Dortmund, where he was criticized by BVB advisor Matthias Sammer and Terzic co-founder Armin Reutershahn ("Sometimes I just lack this seriousness"). His relationship with rapper Loredana, on the other hand, has caused more of a stir.
