Door to ancient times is unveiled for Tuchel.
Thomas Tuchel is no longer with FC Bayern Munich, and now another of his former clubs has an open position: Chelsea FC, where Tuchel led the team to a Champions League victory in 2021, has fired Mauricio Pochettino after just one season.
Following only one season, Chelsea FC and their manager Mauricio Pochettino have officially split ways. In a short statement released by the London club, the decision was made "by mutual consent." At Stamford Bridge, the 52-year-old Argentine had one more year remaining on his contract.
Two potential replacements for Pochettino at the island club include Italian Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion and former Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, who guided Chelsea to the Champions League title in 2021.
Chelsea spent over €450 million on player acquisitions this season (transfer earnings: approximately €270 million), but they only managed to secure a sixth-place finish in the Premier League thanks to a five-game winning streak at the end of the season.

According to Sky, Chelsea FC is being considered as a potential destination for Tuchel, who worked for them from January 2021 to September 2022. Recently, unofficial conversations between the parties have surfaced. Despite attempts by Bayern Munich to extend Tuchel's contract, it ultimately failed.
