Dolly Parton devotees will have a new draw at Dollywood.
This Friday, a fresh tourist attraction titled "The Dolly Parton Experience" will make its debut at Dollywood, nestled in the Smoky Mountains.
The exhibition traces Parton's evolution from her meagre beginnings in a minuscule cabin in Locust Ridge to gracing stages worldwide.
In the Songteller showcase, visitors explore the entertainer's musical, film, and TV endeavors, including a section where they can board the bus that she used when traveling to Nashville immediately following her high school graduation.
The offering behind the drapes, "Behind the Seams," showcases the dazzling gems, hair, clothing from her skyscraper heels to bedazzled gowns, and lets people select Dolly's get-up.
In the DreamSong Theater, "Precious Memories" highlights the role of family and friends in her life and accomplishments, alongside a newly introduced show "Heidi Parton's Kin & Friends" co-scripted by Dolly and her niece.
A vintage Parton-themed tour bus is also being exhibited once again. Visitors can book time-based entry for "The Dolly Parton Experience" online as the early days are anticipated to see substantial traffic. The latest Dolly-centric attraction replaces the erstwhile Adventures in Imagination area.
Dollywood has been adding new features, with the $25 million Big Bear Mountain roller coaster opening last spring. Additionally, their second adjoined hotel, the HeartSong Lodge & Resort, welcomed guests in the fall.
Parton expressed her pride in being a part of the local tourism sector in a conversation with CNN Travel.
"I am so proud of each and every business, every hotel, every motel – every person in this region," she said. "This is my home."
