The filming for "Bridget Jones 4" has been hit with chaos. Recently, sets for "Mad About The Boy" in London have been busy since May 10th, with the movie scheduled to release on Valentine's Day, 2025. However, the completion of the movie starring Renée Zellweger (55) and Hugh Grant (63) is facing unprecedented obstacles.

Sources close to the project shared with "The Sun" that one of the lead actors has experienced a severe off-set injury. It's rumored that a key character broke a bone before shooting the "most crucial parts of the film" and is now receiving medical attention. The ETA for their return to the set is ambiguous. "Filming for these scenes cannot resume before July, so this has disrupted the schedule considerably," explained the source. The injury is being referred to as a "disaster" due to the actors' schedules.

The actors for the film have been confirmed

The identity of the injured actor is still undisclosed. In the upcoming installment of the film series, Zellweger will reprise her iconic role as Bridget Jones. Grant will also return as her former lover Daniel Cleaver. Other actors joining the cast include Emma Thompson (65), Gemma Jones (81), Isla Fisher (48), Chiwetel Ejiofor (46), and Leo Woodall (27) who will play her younger lover.

Michael Morris (50) is directing "Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy", the sequel to "Bridget Jones' Baby" from 2016. This romantic comedy is adapted from the namesake novel by author Helen Fielding (66).
