Dieter Bohlen unveils his "Golden Music Collection"
The 21st year of "Germany's Got Talent" begins just in time for the festive season. Joining the competition are the new "Lion King," a clairvoyant lacking in talent from Berlin, and a Phil Collins mimic who leaves everyone stunned.
The dream of fame under the "Germany's Got Talent" banner persists, making its way onto the grand stage against the breathtaking backdrop of "Europa Park." With the "Silver Star," "Timburcoaster," and "Matterhorn Blitz" nearby, the esteemed jury, composed of Beatrice Egli, Loredana, Pietro Lombardi, and Dieter Bohlen, listen attentively. Who among them holds the best overall potential for claiming the coveted "Germany's Got Talent" crown?
The jury delves right into the action without hesitation. The castings commence with the presence of Hamburg's famous barkeeper, Nissim Mizrahi. This 60-year-old father of three shares an uncanny resemblance to Phil Collins, streams one-man concerts via TikTok, and possesses a voice that stimulates audible shocks, causing the entire jury to be seated after the initial verse.
A Record Unprecedented Beginning
Nissim skillfully showcases the entire extent of the adult rock/pop realm. Whether he performs Gary Moore's "Walking By Myself" or Michael Bolton's "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You," this ageless songsmith, who once sang with Udo Lindenberg at 15, leaves no stone unturned. This powerful moment results in Dieter Bohlen standing before Nissim, announcing, "Never before in 'Germany's Got Talent' has a first contestant been awarded the 'Golden CD' this quickly!" After a brief sample of his Phil Collins impersonation, ("In The Air Tonight"), Nissim departs with his "Golden CD" and the recall ticket that accompanies it. An astounding debut!
Other worthy competitors also achieve their ticket to the recall on the first casting day. For instance, Leonardo, a 22-year-old, tattooed Brazilian-Austrian who has taken up the mantle of Shawn Mendes, receives a thunderous ovation. Luca Montante, a 22-year-old from Austria, also impresses the jury with his fighting spirit. Like Pietro before him, Luca faced numerous rejections before the castings. Now, he aims to prove his idol: "I'll fight like a lion!" Shortly after, Tom Odell's "Another Love" piano melody captivates the audience, and the "lion" from the Taunus territory ascends to the recall. Adrian, a single father of 37 from Germany, who bears an uncanny resemblance to a bear but possesses a velvety voice, also earns his place in the coming round, accompanied by "The Way" by Grönemeyer. The jury members were touched by his sincerity: "I believed every word you sang," Loredana proclaimed, her voice filled with emotion.
Flip-flops, Pop Art Jackets, and No Talent
Plenty of promising vocal talents and aspiring performers choose to showcase their talents as well. Lisa's voice from Bischofsheim resembles the vulnerability of a balloon being inflated, while Apache-Double Metin struggles with the right notes. However, the day's "oh no!" moment belonged to Florian Rateuke from Berlin, who confidently claims to be the "youngest clairvoyant in Germany."
Before even embarking on his performance, because of Loredana's facial expression, it became apparent that Karim Adeyemi might be joining Schalke the following year. The atmosphere became tense, and it was obvious why. The moment the playback for "Ice Cream" by Twenty4Tim started, Florian shed his clothes, leaving behind a blue-red-white camouflage thong and a peculiar spray substance that adhered stickily to his bare stomach. Fortunately, the critically acclaimed Dieter Bohlen bypassed the suspense and declared without hesitation, "You can't even perform mediocrely!" The rest of the cringey performance by Mr. Rateuke left the jury members speechless. However, Beatrice consoled him as he left, saying, "Wish you a speedy recovery!" We concur.
The jury takes note of Florian's performance, as they are instructed to do so, with Beatrice mentioning, "The following shall be reported: Florian Rateuke's audition, which did not meet the talent show's expectations."
After the unexpected turn of events with Florian, the competition continues with the next contestant, Hannah from Munich, who impresses the jury with her unique voice and stage presence.
