Diana's sibling experiences a third failed marriage.
Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, is divorcing his third wife Karen Spencer after 13 years of marriage. He expressed sadness over the breakup and is looking forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren. The 60-year-old explained, "It's incredibly sad. I just want to devote myself to all my children and grandchildren and wish Karen all the best for the future."
According to "The Mail on Sunday", there were issues during the writing of his memoir "A Very Private School", published earlier this year, that might have contributed to the couples' decision to part ways. The news was shared with staff at the Spencer family's Althorp House estate a few weeks ago.
Spencer married Karen on June 18, 2011, two months after Prince William and Princess Kate got married. The couple first met in Los Angeles in 2010. Their daughter Charlotte Diana, aged 12, was born after their marriage. Karen has two older daughters from her previous marriage to Hollywood producer Mark Gordon, while Charles has four children from his first marriage to Victoria Lockwood and two from his second marriage to Caroline Freud. The respective marriages took place from 1989-1997 and 2001-2007.
