Scary video - Devil's birth as a promo: Eminem announces "The Death of Slim Shady"

US-Rapper Eminem ("Lose Yourself") lets fans know with a scary video and the words "OH SH*T!!!" and a skull emoji that his new album "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" will be released on July 12. He posted a video clip on his social media featuring a scene reminiscent of a horror film.

Eminem announces new album after four-year hiatus

The singer had previously announced the release of "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" for the summer without specifying a concrete date. Accompanying the post was a video in the style of a true crime show reporting the death of Slim Shady, a character long identified as the alter ego of the 51-year-old musician. The single "Houdini" was released at the end of May.

The Detroit-born star rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, last released the successful album "Music To Be Murdered By" in early 2020. "The Death of Slim Shady" is his twelfth studio album.

In the announcement of his new album, the US rapper referred to his alter ego as Slim Shady, stating, "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" will be available on July 12. The video teaser for the album features a woman cradling what appears to be a baby, possibly a nod to Eminem's song "Mockingbird."
