Charts - Deep Purple: Tenth number-one album in Germany

Your 23rd studio album is your tenth number-one album in Germany: This refers to the British rock band Deep Purple. According to GfK Entertainment, the chart investigators, Deep Purple were first charted in Germany at the beginning of 1970 and are among the longest-lasting acts in the Official German Charts. Before the British cult band tours through the country again in October, their new album with the title "=1" (pronounced "equals one") jumps from zero to number one in the Top 100.

Taylor Swift falls from one to three

Place two is taken by K-Pop boy group Stray Kids with their new album "Ate". Taylor Swift, who performs in Munich over the weekend, slips from number one to third place with "The Tortured Poets Department". According to GfK Entertainment, Swift has eleven plates in the hit list in parallel. "No other singer has achieved this before."

Rank four belongs to rapper Kool Savas with the new album "Rap Genius". Place five goes to Olivia Rodrigo: Her long-seller "Guts" climbs from 82 to five - due to a limited special edition.

In the Single-Charts, "Wunder" by Ayliva & Apache 207 continues to hold place one (it has been the number-one song for a total of seven weeks). Place two is new and is taken by rappers Luciano & Jazeek ("Starboy").

Number three sees number-one star Ayliva herself making competition, as her new song "Nein!" starts there. Place four is taken by Artemas with "I Like The Way You Kiss Me". Place five (previously number two) falls to "Zeit, dass sich was dreht" by $OHO BANI, Herbert Grönemeyer & Ericson.

In response to the chart announcement, many people were excited to see Deep Purple's 23rd studio album "=1" debut at number one in Germany. Taylor Swift, who has a strong following in Germany, also saw her new album "The Tortured Poets Department" maintain a high position, albeit dropping to third place. GfK Entertainment acknowledged that Swift's eleven simultaneous hits is a record in the German charts, surpassing any other singer before her. The British rock band Deep Purple, who first charted in Germany at the beginning of 1970, proved once again that they are among the longest-lasting acts in the Official German Charts.

In the midst of all these chart movements, classic rock fans must be pleased to see Deep Purple at the top, while Swift's loyal fans would still be proud of her impressive track record. It's interesting to note that the German charts continue to be diverse, with acts like Deep Purple, K-Pop groups like Stray Kids, rap artists like Kool Savas, and pop sensations like Taylor Swift all maintaining strong positions.
