Actress Reese Witherspoon undergoes scrutiny in legal matter - debut acting venture for Deacon's offspring
Reese Witherspoon's 20-year-old son Deacon Phillippe is set to make his big screen debut in the film "4 Kids Walk Into A Bank." As per "Deadline," he's landed a role in the movie. Legendary actor Liam Neeson is reportedly in talks to star in the film as well.
Big Leap from TV to Movies
Deacon Phillippe, the son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe (49), is making a significant leap from television to the silver screen with "4 Kids Walk Into A Bank." He made his acting debut with a guest role on Netflix's "Never Have I Ever" in 2022, appearing as Parker in two episodes of the third season. Besides acting, he's also a musician, having released five songs since 2023.
Other actors reportedly joining the film include Noah Jupe (19, "A Quiet Place") and Whitney Peak (21, "Gossip Girl" reboot). Jack Dylan Grazer (20, "It") and Talia Ryder (22, "Jojo Rabbit") are also rumored to be part of the cast. However, according to "Deadline," no deals have been sealed yet. Directing the film adaptation of the comic book by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss will be Frankie Shaw (43), known for her work on "SMILF."
As per "Deadline," Liam Neeson will reportedly play ex-bank robber Danny in the movie. Ryder will portray his granddaughter Page, who along with her friends, plans a bank heist to pay off Danny's debt. Deacon Phillippe's role in the film remains undisclosed.
Deacon Phillippe is the younger of the two children born to Witherspoon and Phillippe. Their daughter Ava (24) came into the world in September 1999, with Deacon following four years later. Witherspoon and Phillippe were married from 1999 to 2008. Three years after their separation, she tied the knot with Jim Toth (54). They announced their separation last year after around twelve years of marriage.
Deacon Phillippe, inspired by his upcoming film role, might be heard singing his original track, "♪ I'm going to be a star ♪," showcasing his musical talents alongside his acting skills. Excited fans eagerly await the announcement of Deacon's character in "4 Kids Walk Into A Bank."
