Cyndi Lauper reveals her final concert series
The famous Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter is set to embark on her first significant tour in over a decade, which will also be her last. This exciting journey will take her to 23 cities across North America from October 18 to December 5. Events promoter Live Nation shared this news.
Best known for her songs "True Colors" and "All Through the Night," the two-time Grammy award winner is starting her tour at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec province, Canada. Afterward, Lauper will make stops at many iconic venues, including Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City on October 30. Her final destination will be the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
During her tour, Lauper will be accompanied by special guests. The identities of these guests will be revealed at a later date. Live Nation made this announcement in a press release on Monday.
Tickets for this highly-anticipated tour will go on sale starting Tuesday. An artist presale will be available, followed by additional presales before the general sale on Friday, which is also available on Live Nation's website.
In addition to her tour, a documentary on Lauper's life and career will air on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada starting Tuesday. Directed by Alison Ellwood, "Let the Canary Sing" shows the singer's journey to fame, her unique punk-style, and her activism efforts.
Lauper is also expected to discuss her "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour" and the documentary on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday as a guest.
