Nordic skiing - Cross-country skier Carl in sixth place in the skiathlon
Cross-country skier Victoria Carl is gradually establishing herself among the world's best. One day after her fifth place in the sprint, the 28-year-old Olympic team sprint champion finished sixth in the skiathlon at the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway.
In the race over ten kilometers in both the classic and free technique, Carl even looked at times as if she could make it onto the podium. In the end, it was the Swedish winner Ebba Andersson, Jessie Diggins (USA) and Heidi Weng (Norway). Pia Fink also scored World Cup points in 18th place.
