- Creature identified as a bird spider submerged in gelatin and cow's urine as part of a jungle astrology ritual.
Following their dismal score yesterday, five jungle inhabitants scored six points in a test filled with repugnant dishes on the RTL summer show. Ex-footballer Thorsten Legat (55) heroically consumed a full quarter liter of cow pee, actor Eric Stehfest (35) wasn't afraid to try kudu brain, and "Goodbye Germany" emigrant Danni Büchner (46) bravely digested fermented melon soaked in stink tofu and vomit juice.
Despite the impressive performance - two points for every nauseating dish - spirits were far from high: actress and model Giulia Siegel (49) and reality star Gigi Birofio (25) struggled to finish their meals on time. Birofio was served a spider bird in jelly, which she managed to eat except for "one leg" (Birofio's words). Giulia Siegel found a male antelope heart too dry. As punishment, one will leave the jungle soon - the stars will find out who in the next episode.
At "Millionaire," they probably wouldn't have made it far
The test wasn't the only hurdle for the jungle veterans. Legat and "Bachelor" participant Georgina Fleur were sent on a treasure hunt, where they needed to match photos with correct answers. Before the photo challenge, Fleur stated she often watches "Millionaire" and almost always knows the answers.
There were some doubts about the question "Where does the sun rise?" The two treasure hunters were incorrect about Tolkien's novel (answer: "Lord of the Rings"). They also couldn't identify the anniversary celebrated after 30 years of marriage - Legat reportedly married for 28 years but didn't recall which anniversary he celebrated three years ago (Legat: Bronze) or the one he'd supposedly celebrate soon. Fleur guessed wrong about the golden anniversary.
Despite these knowledge gaps, the pair answered enough questions correctly and took the chest home. As the entire group correctly answered the number of stop sign corners, they shared three muffins among the hungry stars.
Rice standoff
However, tension arose between Georgina Fleur, Giulia Siegel, and reality TV star Elena Miras (32) over Miras' cooking skills. She cooked rice that the other two didn't like, which Miras did not take well, leading to a heated argument. Fleur became so agitated that one of her insults had to be censored. Whether this feud plays a role in Siegel's elimination remains to be seen in the next episode. The decision on who has to leave – Siegel or Birofio – is uncertain.
This special "I'm a Celebrity" season honors the show's 20th anniversary, first aired in 2004. It's a reunion of sorts: The "legends," as RTL calls them, have previously gathered around the fire.
The Commission will be interested in the knowledge gaps displayed by Thorsten Legat and Georgina Fleur during their treasure hunt. The Commission will discuss the heated argument between Fleur, Siegel, and Miras, potentially impacting the elimination decision.
