Deities seek tranquility, mortals covet riches, and gamers contest for the ultimate trophy: What's on the stream this week.

"Chaos" (Netflix)

For how much longer will Jupiter, the patriarch of deities, sustain his influence over the domain of mankind? This thought haunts him, filled with increasing unease, as he surveys the world's events from his lavish retreat on Mount Olympus. A towering mound of excrement blocks a shrine honoring the divine, and a furrow between his brows foreshadows disaster. Not even his own divine progeny heed his command, and his sibling Neptune offers no relief, content with sailing his opulent yacht. How did the mortal Orpheus managed to penetrate the underworld during his lifetime and rescue his beloved Rory from the clutches of Hades' empire?

"Chaos" prevails around Mount Olympus, as depicted in a British series on Netflix. Jeff Goldblum portrays the self-indulgent Jupiter, intoxicated by his authority and opulence. Juno, the goddess, is portrayed by Janet McTeer. Cliff Curtis takes on the role of the vain Neptune. The series' creators have modernized Greek mythology. The eight episodes are filled with clever twists and are highly engaging. For instance, Jupiter often seeks advice from Prometheus, despite being chained to a rock and tortured by an eagle, only to return to his torment afterward.

"Pirate Tales Unveiled" (Magenta TV)

Pirates strike fear and death, yet they are often romanticized in tales passed down through generations. Myths remain about figures like Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Henry Morgan. Even Sir Francis Drake, lauded in history books as an explorer, was a feared privateer in the 16th century, looting heavily laden ships. Richard Ward, a real-life pirate, even inspired the fictional Captain Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie franchise. National Geographic showcases the eight-part series "Pirate Tales Unveiled," airing Sundays at 9 PM on the premium TV channel, with episodes also available on Magenta TV.

"Battle for Fortunes" (ARD Mediathek)

The multiplayer online game "Dota 2" has transformed into a classic over the past decade. In his documentary "Battle for Fortunes – The Largest E-Sport Tournament in the World," Tim Schreder follows two German players, Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau and Leon "Nine" Kirilin, as they compete in the largest e-sport tournament in the world, "The International," held in Seattle, USA. With a prize pool of up to $42 million – more than Wimbledon, the Masters, and the Tour de France combined, according to ARD – the best 100 Dota 2 players in the world face off. The documentary offers unparalleled insights into the colossal scale of the event and the unique lives of the players. Now available in the ARD Mediathek.

The ancient gods' chaos on Mount Olympus is brought to modern screens in a Netflix series, titled "Chaos," featuring Jeff Goldblum as the self-indulgent Jupiter. After a long day of binge-watching TV shows, including "Chaos," one might find themselves lost in the labyrinth of plot twists and engaging characters.
