Andrea Bocelli celebrates 30th stage anniversary - Concerts with numerous world stars in Italy
For his 30-year stage anniversary, Andrea Bocelli (65), the blind Italian tenor, returns to his hometown of Lajatico in Toscana. He brings not only his exceptional voice but also a multitude of international stars to the small village near Volterra. In total, three concerts titled "The Celebration" take place: The first show is on a Monday (15. July), followed by two more dates on a Wednesday (17. July) and a Friday (19. July).
Hollywood stars in Toscaña
At Teatro del Silenzio, many diverse Special Guests will perform alongside Bocelli: Recently, Sofía Vergara (52) and Will Smith (55) were revealed as guest stars in Toscaña on Instagram. However, that's not all; many more famous names from the film and music industry are expected to appear at the amphitheater in the 1,300-inhabitant village.
Prominent names on the list include Johnny Depp (61), Ed Sheeran (33), Brian May (76), Russell Crowe (60), Shania Twain (58), Plácido Domingo (83), Laura Pausini (50), Lang Lang (42), José Carreras (77), Eros Ramazzotti (60), and many more. Additionally, Bocelli's daughter Virginia (*2012) from his second marriage to Veronica Berti (40) will join him on stage.
Concert film from "The Eras Tour" director in planning
According to "Entertainment Weekly," a concert film is planned from footage recorded at the three shows. Reportedly, Sam Wrench (33), the filmmaker and director behind Taylor Swift's (34) successful "The Eras Tour" documentary from 2023, is responsible for this project. The concert film featuring Andrea Bocelli is scheduled to be shown in cinemas in the fall.
On a Friday (12. July), Bocelli announced his new album "Duets," which is set to be released in October. The album contains both duets from his 30-year career and new songs recorded for the album. The first single from the album is "Da Stanotte in Poi (From this Moment on)" with Shania Twain.
