Concerned ex-manager Rosen grapples with the TSG's alleged "conflict"

At TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, the exit of Alexander Rosen has caused a significant uproar. Two ultra groups have announced their opposition to the club, going as far as declaring "war" on it. As the presidential election draws near, long-term sports director Rosen has broken his silence for the first time.

Ever since his forced departure from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Rosen has expressed his gratitude towards benefactor Dietmar Hopp. The 45-year-old former manager regrets not being able to thank his many associates at his departure.

In a statement to the German Press Agency, Rosen praised Hopp for his extraordinary faith in Rosen, appointing him as sports director of a Bundesliga club at just 33 years old.

Just weeks before the start of the Bundesliga season, TSG initiated a change in management staff and parted ways with sports director Rosen. Reports suggest that the shareholders of football operations GmbH, including Hopp, unanimously agreed to recall Rosen from his position.

Simone Engelhardt, representing the majority shareholder as interim chair of the registered association, cited future planning as the reason. Hopp's influence and entourage are still considered significant at TSG.

Tensions as presidential election approaches

The fallout between the club and the fan scene over Rosen's dismissal has led to an escalation of tensions. Two ultra groups have declared war on the club and have refused any dialogue. At the Bundesliga opener against Holstein Kiel, fans and their ultra groups protested against the club's policies and withheld their support for the team.

Despite his concerns over the current situation, Rosen wishes only the best for coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, the team, and all the dedicated employees facing the challenges ahead. Rosen has been with TSG since 2010 and was promoted to sports director a year ago.

A new president will be elected at TSG's upcoming member meeting on Monday. The only confirmed candidate is Sinsheim mayor Jörg Albrecht. However, rumors suggest that a person from the ultra scene is also considering running for the position.

In response to Rosen's departure from 1899 Hoffenheim, two ultra groups have declared a war on the club, vowing to refuse any dialogue. Despite the tensions, Rosen still wishes the best for coach Matarazzo, the team, and all the dedicated employees at the club, where he has served since 2010 and held the position of sports director for a year.
