Enshrined in Hollywood's cement. - Cher praises Cyndi Lauper as a talented vocalist.

Cyndi Lauper, aged 70, received a remarkable honor recently - she was permitted to leave her hand and footprints, along with her signature, in cement at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. A ceremony marked this momentous occasion, where her longtime companion, Cher, aged 78, delivered a heartfelt speech about her "dear friend." Cher sang her praises, stating, "She's a wonderful, wonderful, crazy, crazy person. I'm a good singer, I'm a pretty good singer, Cyndi is a great singer, she's a genius singer, she's a fantastic person, and she's talented," as per media reports.

Cher also shared fond memories of their first joint performance together. In 2002, they serenaded the audience with their hit song "If I Could Turn Back Time" at the VH1 Divas concert. Cher reminisced, "I sang it and felt really good, and then she came and outdid me. And since then, we've been friends," adding, "I love her."

Besides Cher, Bebe Rexha, aged 34, also graced the event with her presence and couldn't stem her admiration for Lauper. "To say that Cyndi is someone I've worshipped my entire life is an understatement," said the pop singer. Lauper not only served as a role model for her career but also as a woman. Rexha affirms that these "handprints would immortalize the '80s icon in the history of Hollywood."

Lauper was deeply impacted by the generous compliments directed her way. "I can't really listen to what they're saying because then I start crying and have to call my makeup artist, but I just want to thank them," she expressed. Lauper embraced her attire, a black bustier and Capri pants, for the special event.

The renowned performer gained international fame through timeless hits like "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time" in the 1980s, earning her two Grammy Awards, an Emmy, and even a Tony Award. In her four decades of stardom, Lauper has sold over 50 million recordings worldwide. Just yesterday, she unveiled on Instagram that she'll embark on a farewell tour this fall, concluding with a live concert in December in Chicago.
