German Basketball League - Chemnitz and Berlin have tied their BBL semi-final series as Berlin scores to match Chemnitz's points.

In the ongoing German Basketball League playoff semifinals, Alba Berlin managed to tie the series with the Niners Chemnitz. This was possible after Berlin snatched a decisive win at home with a score of 86-64 (48:40).

Berlin's solid defense was pivotal in holding Chemnitz to just 24 points in the second half and a total of 64 points, which is the lowest score from the Saxons in any BBL game this season. The rest of the important games in this best-of-five series will be held in Chemnitz. The team that manages to win the first three games will make it to the finals.

From the start of the game, Berlin's strong offense dominated as they quickly took a 14-4 lead. While Chemnitz put up better defense, they were unable to surpass Berlin in the first half, with the score reading 48-40 in Berlin's favor, thanks to their superior three-point shooting.

In the third quarter, the Berliners continued their unrelenting pressure, forcing multiple turnovers from Chemnitz and thus ending the quarter on a strong 16-5 run. They kept Chemnitz at bay in the closing stages, never letting them come within 12 points. The star players for Berlin were Louis Olinde, who scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, and Martin Hermannsson, who netted 11 points and dished out 6 assists.
