Remembrance of D-Day Events - Charles and Camilla visited France.
King Charles III, 75, and Queen Camilla, 76, have travelled to France to participate in commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. They will join Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, 44, Labour leader Keir Starmer, 61, and French President Emmanuel Macron, 46, at the "British Normandy Memorial" in Ver-sur-Mer. This is Charles' first foreign trip since his cancer diagnosis became public in February. Upon their arrival, King Charles appeared in a uniform while Camilla wore a white dress and a hat.
The royal couple's visit to France comes after an emotional ceremony in Portsmouth, England on the 5th of June. King Charles, in his speech, acknowledged the courage, resilience, and solidarity of World War II veterans, teary-eyed as per eyewitnesses.
